My layout started life in a 3mx3m shed and hence it is a small layout, or a large diorama, depending on your point of view. It is 2.4mx1.5m uses code 100 Peco track with a minimum radius of 550mm.

The concept is totally urban with very little vegetation, based on nowhere at no time and has been constructed with very little know how. BUT it works and that is what it is all about.

Locos and rolling stock are all modern diesel “OZ” outline, although I started with UK outline, which now fills, up my display cabinet.

The main line is double track and is the basic oval, which makes for lazy operation, start her up and stand back and watch.

Most of the buildings are DPM, but I have started scratch building using styrene which I find very easy to use (also cheap) and is only limited by my imagination.

Like all layouts it will never get finished, I now have a dedicated room for the layout, and am in the middle of planning a major expansion.

Loco 846 pulls out onto the main line with an MLV wagon.

.A double header of 422’s passes thru the industrial area. At peak period time by the looks of the traffic in the background.

Passengers are boarding the 5:57 to Homesville most of whom have had a quick drink in the Grand Hotel after a hard day at the office!
